Reduce antibiotic use and improve outcomes with an
innovative diagnostic device for veterinarians.

Antibiogram results in just 24 hours
AI-supported plate interpretation
Insert the sample - we analyze
On-site testing in the clinic
Reduced unnecessary antibiotic use
Monitoring occurrence and spread of infectious diseases in a specific region

- Monitor where and how many disease cases (e.g., bacterial infections) are occurring
- Identify which pathogens are present (e.g., Streptococcus uberis, E. coli...)
- Detect resistance of bacteria to specific antibiotics
- Analyze whether a disease or resistant bacteria are spreading between farms
- This allows veterinarians and farmers to act quickly, treat precisely, and prevent further spread.

What is PetriEye?
PetriEye is a compact veterinary device that enables rapid microbiological testing with an antibiogram directly in the clinic or in the field. It is designed for targeted antibiotic selection based on the actual bacterial susceptibility, shortening time to the correct therapy and reducing unnecessary antibiotic use.
For which animal species is it suitable?
The system is designed for a broad range of veterinary practice: small animals (dogs, cats) and large animals (dairy cows). Protocols are tailored to typical veterinary indications and workflows.
Which sample types are supported?
Urine samples, skin swabs, ear swabs, and milk samples in dairy cows. The list of validated samples is constantly expanding—we are happy to advise on the most appropriate protocol.
What do I get from the device?
An automatically generated report with documented growth, an interpreted antibiogram, and a clear recommendation for targeted treatment in line with veterinary guidelines. You can export the report to PDF or share it directly with the client/farmer.
What does the workflow look like?
You collect an aseptic sample, apply it to the prepared medium, and insert the plate into PetriEye. The device automatically captures images and guides you through the key steps; after incubation you receive an interpreted antibiogram and final recommendations.
How long does it take to get results?
Typically 24–36 hours to a complete antibiogram, depending on sample type and growth rate. Early indicators of growth are often available sooner, helping you steer clinical decision-making more quickly.
Do I need training?
Yes—short, targeted training (1–2 hours) covers sampling, asepsis, plating, device operation, and report interpretation. Our team also supports you during your first real cases.
Where can I use PetriEye?
In the clinic or on the farm: the device is compact, robust, and easy to use. You only need stable power and basic hygiene conditions.
